Phlebotomy & Venepuncture

Cost: £125 per delegate

 

Course Overview: The course is aimed at those wishing to become phlebotomists in the future. Teaching will be in small groups and is designed to give delegates the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to run their first supervised phlebotomy clinic.

• Suitable veins

• Handling complications

• Blood collection systems

• Documentation

• Simulated venepuncture

 

In addition there is a unique optional second module, that can be delivered either at Darley Dale Medical Centre or the delegate's own surgery. This takes the form of a phlebotomy clinic performed by the delegate and  supervised by an experienced Indigo phlebotomist and includes a GP signed certificate of competence on successful completion.This optional second module is at an additional cost of £175.

 

Alternatively your practice may prefer to use your own in-house qualified phlebotomist to supervise and sign off the delegate's first phlebotomy clinic.
